A set of four antique water colour paint cakes by William Muller.
Featuring a wonderfully decorative bouquet of flowers in sharp relief on the front and the maker's name and the colour of the cake on the opposite side.
The colours of the cakes are Light Chrome, Antwerp Blue, Raw Sienna and Yellow Ochre. The cakes date from the late 1800s.
William Muller was a Victorian Artists’ Colourman who had shops in London, Birmingham and London. A lesser well know manufacturer, Muller had a royal warrant to supply Queen Alexandra.
All cakes are in good, unused condition.
The cake measures 3.2 cm x 1.8 cm x 0.8 cm.
