Partially used, but still soft, this paint pigment is from series 2 of the 1940s Winsor & Newton collection.

In the early part of the 20th century Spectrum Violet was a pigment derived from coal tar. Excellent permanence. The pigment in oil is no longer sold by Winsor & Newton today.

The tube is 2 inches.
