A rare reproduction of the highly prized Smalt watercolour that was produced by Winsor & Newton.
They brought out this edition for their 175 anniversary in 2007. A now discontinued colour, Smalt (Dumont’s Blue) was a highly prized colour that was produced by the company from 1830 onwards until it was replaced by a more modern synthetic colour mix. Smalt contains lapis lazuli, one of the most highly prized of artists’ pigments and is very expensive. This tube has been formulated from a special selection of raw materials and is a bright colour with a large particle structure.
The tube is metal with a plastic cap and is 5ml.
